Evening Patrol

Julia was born in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire in 1969. She studied Illustration & Printmaking at Cambridge. Her work focuses on figurative themes, in particular crowd scenes. Initially more abstract, concentrating on the shadows and shapes that people make when they are grouped en masse, it soon developed into a naturalistic style.

‘Evening Patrol’ is part of a new collection of her artwork for 2025.From her recent depictions of busy society and city landscapes Julis explores a new subject.An intimate look at animals in their habitats.This one captures a hare on the lookout surrounded by tall grass.
